Dr Tannous is an academic in Economics and Finance with the School of Business at Western Sydney University and a Health Economist with the Translational Health Research Institute. . She has expertise in health economics and data analytics, particularly in the context of administrative and linked health system data. She is an experienced quantitative researcher and evaluator. She is currently measuring the health and economic cost of residential fire research - a population level linked data study using hospital, ambulance, deaths, fire incidents, computer aided dispatch, general insurance claims and burns unit (for incidents from 2005 to 2019) for the period up to 2022. She has been working and researching the impact on refugees for the time in transition countries on their mental and social well-being.
